Elite Dinner of War explores the unsettling relationship between power, privilege, excess, and destruction. A lavish table-like world unfolds across the composition, filled with abundance, ritual, strange vessels, flowing forms, and carefully placed objects — while an atmosphere of tension and unease runs underneath it all.
The work evokes the image of conflict being observed, discussed, or even consumed from a position of distance. Beauty and abundance exist alongside discomfort and violence, creating a sharp contrast between those who experience the consequences of war and those who remain protected from them.
